Elysian Hotel

The Elysian was the newest five-star hotel in Chicago. Inspired by 1920’s Paris, it was designed to
be a place where remarkable moments happen, and a celebration of what luxury travel used to be.

At zig, we created the brand from the ground up - armed only with a name and a logo, we developed an elegant,
but approachable voice and a classic look, inspired by the iconic Coco Chanel. It was a unique opportunity to
influence a client at every consumer touchpoint. It was also a unique challenge, as we had to convey a sense of
luxury and refinement on a shoestring budget— the hotel had yet to open and had no income.

It was bought and rebranded by the Waldorf Astoria in 2012.
